Nature of Service — What CheckBills.pk Is and Is Not
CheckBills.pk is an independent, third-party informational portal. It is important that all users clearly understand the scope and limitations of our service:
- We are NOT MEPCO. CheckBills.pk has no official affiliation with Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO), WAPDA, NEPRA, or any branch of the Government of Pakistan.
- We do NOT generate electricity bills. All billing data, tariff structures, and consumer information are sourced from MEPCO’s official systems. We facilitate access to this information for the convenience of consumers.
- We do NOT process payments. CheckBills.pk does not accept, process, or handle any payments for electricity bills. All payments must be made through MEPCO-authorised channels including designated bank branches, mobile banking apps (such as Jazz Cash, Easypaisa, UBL Omni), and utility stores.
- We provide informational guidance on how to read your MEPCO electricity bill, understand bill components (such as fuel surcharge, electricity duty, GST, TV fee, meter rent), and navigate the bill-checking process.
- Service Coverage: Our content covers all 13 MEPCO operating districts in South Punjab — from Multan and Bahawalpur to Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur.
We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, but users must always verify critical billing details — particularly due amounts, due dates, and disconnection notices — directly through MEPCO’s official website (mepco.com.pk) or by visiting their nearest MEPCO subdivision office.
User Eligibility & Access
CheckBills.pk is designed for use by:
- Residential and commercial electricity consumers registered under MEPCO in South Punjab, Pakistan.
- Individuals assisting registered consumers in checking or understanding their bills.
- Students, researchers, journalists, and professionals seeking general information about MEPCO billing practices or electricity tariffs in Pakistan.
To use the bill-checking feature, you must have access to your 14-digit MEPCO Consumer Reference Number, which appears on every official MEPCO electricity bill issued in South Punjab.
